Visiting the Columbia Ice Fields in Alberta was one of the best parts of my trip out there last summer with my daughter.
We did a brand new tour called the Ice Odyssey Experience. You get a more exclusive visit with no more than 8 people, and it's on an entirely different part of the glacier than the main tour.
So many times, I had to put my camera down and just take in the visuals and the surroundings.
It's not just a visual experience, though, as you can hear ice cracking and rocks falling all around you. You can smell the fresh air, and you can drink the ice-cold glacier water.
It's a full sensory experience, and I can't recommend it enough!
